Marty Rader has over fifty years of legal experience.  He began his legal career as a Navy JAG officer in 1970.  Upon his discharge from active duty, he continued in the Naval Reserves, retiring with the rank of Captain (O-6).   Upon returning to the Danbury area after active duty, he became an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Danbury, serving in that capacity from 1974 to 1984.  His experience in private practice includes representation of clients in many legal areas:  real estate transactions and leasing, probate and estate planning, small business formation and governance, municipal law, and litigation of a wide array of disputes.  Atty. Rader also served the Danbury Judicial District as an Attorney Trial Referee, and he is a former President of the Danbury Bar Association.  Atty Rader’s teaching experience includes teaching commercial law at Western Connecticut State University and paralegal studies for the University of Connecticut.  He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Danbury Bar Association.

Education:   Yale College, B.A;   University of Connecticut, J.D.; University of Connecticut, M.B.A.

Atty. Rader currently limits his practice to real estate transactions, small business formation and governance, estate planning, and probate administration.  His goal is to provide quality representation in a timely manner and at a reasonable fee.  He finds that his wide range of legal experience is helpful in advising clients, particularly regarding the probable outcomes of litigation.  Atty. Rader is an agent for First American Title Insurance and a Secure Insight verified settlement agent.

Community Involvement over the years:   President, Brookfield Jaycees; Member, Brookfield Charter Revision Commission; Secretary, Brookfield Planning Committee for Senior Citizen Housing; Secretary and Board Member, Non Profit Rental Housing Corporation; President, Western Connecticut Youth Hockey Assn.; President, Ridgewood Country Club

Message from Marty Rader:  Over the years, I have had many gratifying and satisfying moments in representing clients, whether protecting their interests in court, helping them buy their dream home, start a business, or steer them through the probate system.  But as I reflect upon my career, it is particularly rewarding  that I am now representing young clients who are the grandchildren of clients I started my career with.

Marty Rader is a native of Danbury and currently resides in Brookfield.
